Extremely rude staff!!! We rented a boat that got hot and shut down anytime we got over 2 rpms!!! Kyle the staff on dock was extremely helpful and nice and Rusty the campground worker was such a nice man, helpful and all around good guy!!! The campground is not attractive at all and you literally are camping in a dirt hole...the hookups are very old and only supply 30 amps and even at 30 i couldn't run anything in the RV without blowing the circuit....mind you it's called an RV Resort...NOT!!! The staff seems to enjoy yelling and accusing people of not paying and doesn't care who they yell in front of!!! I will NEVER go back and actually have no need to...way to many beautiful friendly resorts for same price with 10x the atmosphere and personalities....most of the people camping at Shasta are doing it as a vacation...who on vacation wants to be treated rudely and listen to false accusations...NOT ME....I will not return to this dirt hole again

Friendly staff at the store. We had a nice, level spot with a lovely private view. Other RVers were friendly and inviting. Easy access to a private quiet area for swimming and boating. My son got really nice fishing advice from staff and other campers. All in all a great start to the family vacation!

I was placed in site number 27 which is billed as being out of the way location but is really a wide dirt lot. The biggest complaint is that the sewer dump is located under a steel plate in the middle of the lot and on the wrong side of the RV. I had to back in once to dump, then pulled forward and backed in again to get to the water and power. The steel plate covering the otherwise open sewer ended up about three feet from my door and was often stepped on getting into the RV. Gross. The camp host was a sketchy looking guy in a wheel chair who did not inspire confidence. He told me that I could just pull my sewer line under the RV and leave it hooked up and it would be no problem. I went with my solution.

The rest of the sites may be fine, but if you go don't let them stick you at site 27.

Compliments of Carl and Linda Bott from KCNR 1460 Free Fire Radio, we were guests on a Holiday Harbor Houseboat. Our experience was outstanding and every employee at Holiday Harbor we encountered went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent experience. Thank you all and be assured we will be repeat customers. Peri and Ivar Brustad

Matt and the staff here seriously saved our entire trip. We had a bad water pump impeller out on the lake, causing our boat to overheat. I called and they got me in right away to fix it. Matt was extremely helpful and nice the entire time, and was very speedy in putting it in. We'll be spending future trips out on their houseboats! Thanks a ton Matt. We owe ya!
